Twenty-one or over: one rule for everyone in the room

Twenty-one or over is the age rule that applies to every booking with this house, without exception. It covers each therapist on the roster, each guest who books, and anyone else who will be present in the room during the visit. It is stated on every page of the site and set out in full on the age statement.

The document at the door

She may ask to see a photo document when you open the door. A passport or a national identity card with a photograph does the job. She looks at it once, hands it straight back, and nothing from it is copied, photographed or written down. The house holds no record of your date of birth or your document number.

Why she asks guests who are plainly older

Because deciding who to ask by how they look is unreliable and a little insulting to whoever is picked. A request made of every guest alike means nobody at the door has to guess. For a guest over fifty the question can come as a mild surprise; it takes a few seconds and is not a comment on anyone.

Couples and other people present

If you have booked as a couple, both of you should be ready to show a document. If anyone else is in the room when she arrives, the same rule applies to them, and the thread should have said plainly who would be there. If she cannot settle who is in the room, she leaves before anything begins.

The therapists

Every profile on the roster states the therapist's age, and every therapist is twenty-one or over. The rule runs in both directions, which is part of why it is asked of guests without exception.

If a document cannot be shown

Then the visit does not go ahead. Once she has set out, this is read as a cancellation made at that moment: on a booking with a deposit, the deposit is kept; without one, the share of the fee her journey represents. It almost never comes to that, and having the document on the table by the door before she arrives makes certain it will not.
